Re: Problems with Crop and duration
Welcome to Wings Multi-display! 1. It is auto stretching to fit because you dragged the picture into a track with the 'Standard' field (which is the full frame). To solve, either one of the following methods will do it - i) Click in the Display Preview and the in-screen Editing feature will allow yo...

Re: Bad results in Intermediate Video but...
Edius is an NLE like Premier, Fial Cut Pro, etc. After Effects is a different kettle of fish. I understand Canopus Procoder 3 comes with the HQ codec as well, so that may be more useful to you rather than a NLE software. Not cheap also. Quicktime Pro continues to serve many users well for its price....

Re: Bad results in Intermediate Video but...
When Wings starts to create the intermediate data, click the red X in the Task window to stop it. Then in the Message window, click the icon with a green tick (next to the blue ? icon) and a pop up will ask "Do you want to create the intermediate data ot play the original file?". Save afte...

Re: Fehlermeldung beim Arbeiten mit Triggern
An alternative to giving the Timeline Properties a Remote Index 1 is to change the Timeline Parameter in the Trigger Properties, i.e. Timeline = 0 (instead of = 1). With a 1, the Trigger will look for Timeline 1. You can then leave the Timeline Properties at Remote Index 0, though it won't hurt to h...

Re: Laptops and Wings
Googling for the i5 2520M and the GeForce® GT 555M indicates quite good performance for both items.
If the price difference is not much, and affordable, I would only up the i5 to the i7.

Hello Basilmiz, Thought you were going to stick with Powerpoint? :) To answer your question, yes a 5400rpm will be slightly lacking versus 7200rpm hd, IF - 1. You play multiple videos simultaneously. Playing just one video at any one time should be ok with a 5400rpm hd. 2. Depending on the other spe...

Re: Laptops and Wings
Additionally, if I'm not wrong, bear in mind applications like Wings pass all video and picture processing (except for de-coding) on to the GPU of the graphics card. And almost if not all laptops' graphics cards are a cut-down version of the desktop version so performance is not the same as a deskto...

Hello Ian, Couple more things - 1. What is the exact error message when it bluescreens? Any error code given? 2. Try uninstalling anything ATI, i.e. clean your pc of ATI stuff. Reboot. Reinstall card's driver only, no Catalyst. 3. Not sure if you need an EDID Manager like the DVI Parrot - http://www...

Re: Picture crashes but not Platinum
Hello Ian, Re BIOS update, it is quite straightforward. I too had my anxieties when I first tried it, but you are correct in proceeding with caution. Step at a time, and use the tool (software) that Shuttle provides to update BIOS. Some use the old 1.44 floopy disk, some USB thumb drive, and some ca...
