We are using a number of 8 analog out modules in a project. It is all being controlled via a media engine. we send the data from wings on the media engine to the sc master which then sends the data to each analog out. We have noticed that there seems to be a delay between the first module outputting the analog voltage and each subsequent analog module. Is there a reason for this or are we using the system incorrectly, should we be using the sc master with a CF card to output directly to the analog module. Some help and advice on this issue would be much appreciated.

sc net 8 analog out
Hi Davies,
This Problem is known in our office.
The reason for this delay is that the RS232-connection between the SC Mediaengine and the SC Master is very busy when sending much Data.
If the RS232 connection is very busy it could also happened that the Outputs of the Analog Modules are flickering.
The same behavior happened when using SC Net DMX Modules.
We recommend using the SC Master with a CF card to output directly to the Analog modules.
Another solution is to sent the a single command for every Ramp.
You can set this option in:
Extras -> Options > Project Options -> SC Net -> Settings for data objects --> [tick] Use ramps in data objects above ____ms
This option only makes sense when using linear ramps.

Bernhard
