I want to buy a laptop for use primarily with Wings and Photo Editing.
It 'best to use an ATI or nVidia graphics card with Wings?

there is a recommended model of video card? , Type hd 5000 or hd7000 series

all cards of the amd/ati firepro (7000+) series are full suported. also there is a special sync-mode when you use a setup with the firepro s400 modul.
please notice: the new nvidia/evga cards (gtx 690) are the most powerfull on the market and rock'n'roll with wings and all other multimedia programs.

we can recommend both brands. If you're a "normal Consumer" (1 Display/Screen) a Consumer graphiccard will be the best choice. (GTX 4xx, GTX 5xx, GTX 6xx or ATI HD 5xxx, ATI HD 6xxx, ATI HD 7xxx)
The latest graphic cards do have more power - so it is possible to present more complex shows directly out of Wings Platinum.

However, we can't recommend the Firepro fully, because at higher resolutions there will be a bad tearing. (Multidisplay usage) But i think this card is no option for you because there is no "Mobile Version" available and also the optional sync module s400 is just a thing for a desktop pc.
