Using Windows 7 (64 bit) and Wings Platinum 4.25b. When I select images in my image viewer (Faststone), and then drag them to the media pool, I get a "no entry" sign, and the drop will not drop.
The computer has recently been upgraded - are there some Windows or Wings settings that stop Drag and drop working ?
Very Frustrating. It works fine on my PS with Windows XP.

I know the problem with audio files and iTunes. You have to run both programs as administrator.

there are no limitations coming from Wings.
Is the Drag & Drop working from your Windows Explorer?

The only time I've seen this happen is when the file type or some property of the image or video is not compatible/not acceptable by Wings.

What is the 3-character extension of the images you are unable to ingest into Wings with drag-and-drop?
Are your images CMYK? RGB is required.

Thanks to all who replied ! A Windows 7 software expert was called in and located some obscure setting that needed to be changed. All is now working fine. Joy

Pray tell what the obscure setting is in Windows 7, so that others who may face the same problem in future, know what to do.
