Hello
Has anyone any experience using Blackmagic Decklink HD extreme card
for capturing full HD stuff from another COMPUTER?
I already have partial success when capturing 1920x1080@60 signal thru HDMI.
But image is squeezed to 4:3 ratio and is pretty unstable.
any known trick with this ?
Best Regards

Hallo Kai,
we have these little problems with Wings and Watchout also.
You must use a different driver for the Blackmagic card.
We work with Version 5.6xxx .
I think 1920x1080 is different and hard for the Display PC incase of the delay..., we do it SD PAL with an SDI Signal ,
and this is pretty nice. ( Germany 50Hz.)
Also it is better, to install the blackmagic card and the driver BEFORE Wings or other Programms.
Mayby this helps.

Hi Stefan,
Yes we have found the same with WO and stumpfl....normally we just add Barco´s Encore etc
to do the "live " stuff, but now something cheaper is needed.
The driver is the latest (6.7.2)
The whole idea is to use this new extreme 2:s HDMI ports to connect computers DVI signal there directly,
and therefore avoiding conversion to DVI> HD SDI. Wich is bit costly item.
I guess i´ll just try it again with more standard SDI stuff next with different drivers.
And the delay issues then..interesting to see if it´s going to be more than one frame.. :)

Hey Kai,
when you got maximum 1 frame delay, you are lucky " technician ".
We found, that a SONY TRIAX SD Kamera produces 1 frame,
than a DFS 700 Video Mixer or equal produces 1 frame, than the
Barco Folsom... than the projector like Digital Projection, Barco or Christie...
and so on and so on... so 1 frame delay on the screen... respect.
Therefor we bought a SPYDER..
