Hi,
I'm a new member, and really appreciate this opportunity to be part of this forum.
I had a couple of basic questions I really wanted to ask help with.
I use one Gotschmann AV6767 slide projector with a cd player and a Stumpfl SD 302CD version 1.07. I program audio -slide shows using WingsPlatinum 2, that I burn on to a cd, and play in repeat mode. These shows play in art galleries and museums where I have to leave the turning off, and turning on , of the equipment every day to gallery assistants.
In order that there are no problems, and the program starts up properly each day at the right position, I wanted to ask at what point in the slide show should the program be turned off at the end of the day? And which order should it go in? Cd player first, then Slide projector off? And then to start in the morning projector on first, and then cd player and play in repeat mode?
I am also aware that the connector that links the SD302 CD to the projector gets extremely hot. Is that normal?
Many, many thanks for any help with these..I look forward to be able to contribute myself soon.

Dear Mark,
unfortunately I have to tell you that this will not work the way you were preferring - the turning ON and OFF of the CD player
cannot be programmed on CD and not be executed by the SD 302 CD.
For once the CD is playing, the CD player is doing the Master`s part, with the SD 302 CD only receiving "orders", having no influence on the CD player - therefore, the CD player has to be switched of by some "external hand".
Yet there is such a possibility to programme the automatic ON-and OFF-turn of the show, once it is run directly from off the PC/ from off Wings Platinum.
In this (presentation-)mode, the OFF-turn of the computer can be programmed in Wings Platinum - depending of what modules your Wings 2 is consisting of - (see online-help/ triggers/ automatic show start) -
while for the selfish START of the computer, the computer in the first place has to be set to "WakeOnLAN" (see PC system configuration)
And first of all: please do get your SD 302 CD updated to 1.11!
And one final advice: you, to just have a try, with all these items checked by yourself...?
Me then, looking forward to hearing of your results (?)
Lots of nice greetings

I am facing a similar problem: I am installing 15 Kodak Ektapro 5020 slide projectors that are controlled by 8 Stumpfl SD 302 CD devices. I did not program the devices, and have little experience with Stumpfl equipment. I would like to set-up an automated system that turns the equipment on at 9am, then at 5pm turns the projector lamps off, when the lamps cool, the projectors are then turned off. But, on Thursday and Friday the projectors must turn off later, at 8pm. I am prepared with timers to shut-off power to the equipment. Is there a way to command the projectors to turn their lamps off, before the power is cut? I'd greatly appreciate help with this problem.
