I used the vga cable for the projector and still got the blue screen. I guess that means it`s not an hdmi problem.

But it occurred to me: I only have 10gb free space on Drive C. I`m going to shunt 100gb worth of time lapse clips to D and see if that stops the BSOD...

I found the solution to my own problem. My vga monitor (from which the show and notes run) was at 75 hz, whereas the projector runs at 59.95 hz. Adjusting the monitor to 60 hz made the difference. The camera movements now run smoothly.

This may not be a problem with WP as such, but maybe someone has had a similar experience with very jerky panning across still pictures when projected. The panning looks smooth in WP full screen but when I project the show (I have a recent Epson 8350 1080p projector) the jerkiness is terrible. It is...
